Lahore: Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen has once again stepped forward to support fast bowler Ihsanullah, promising him a place in his President’s Cup Grade-II team, JDW. The PCB-organized tournament is scheduled to take place in April and May.
In addition, after discussions with Ihsanullah, Ali Tareen announced that Multan Sultans would provide the 22-year-old Swat-born pacer with all necessary facilities and resources to help him reclaim his place in the national side and make a comeback to the HBL PSL, where he represented the 2021 champions.
“Ihsanullah is one of our own and we are committed to supporting him through these challenging times,” said Ali Tareen. “He will now be on our payroll, which means he’ll have the opportunity to resume competitive cricket. Moreover, Ihsanullah will have access to our Multan Sultans Academy in Lodhran, where our specialists will work closely with him to get his career back on track.
“I have spoken to our fast-bowling coach Catherine Dalton, who is equally committed to helping Ihsanullah return to his best. We supported him in 2023 when he first sustained the injury and we will continue to fulfill our responsibility to him now. We are optimistic and confident that he will be back in action for Multan Sultans in the HBL PSL.
“Our ultimate goal is to see him represent Pakistan and contribute to the national team’s success in major matches. Ihsanullah is a valued member of the Multan Sultans family, and we will do everything in our power to support him.”
