Ali Tareen: While our focus remains on strong performances on the field, we’re equally committed to standing in solidarity with children in need
As part of their ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Multan Sultans has announced a special initiative to support humanitarian relief and rehabilitation efforts for the affected children in Gaza.
During the HBL Pakistan Super League 2025, Multan Sultans will donate PKR 100,000 for every six hit by their batters and every wicket taken by their bowlers. The proceeds will go to Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), a reputable charity actively working on-ground to provide essential aid and services to impacted children in Gaza.
Last season, when Sultans lost the last-ball final to Islamabad United by two wickets, their batters hit 76 sixes and the bowlers claimed 94 wickets, underlining the potential for this initiative to make a meaningful impact.
“At Multan Sultans, we believe in using our platform for positive impact,” Ali Tareen, owner of Multan Sultans, said. “Cricket brings people together and through this initiative, we hope to channel that unity into a cause that matters. While our focus remains on strong performances on the field, we’re equally committed to standing in solidarity with children in need.”
“This contribution is a small step in a much larger effort and we are proud to begin it here. I deeply appreciate the support of our players, management and partners who stand behind this cause with full conviction.”
Multan Sultans will kick off their campaign on Saturday in Karachi against Karachi Kings and will play their final league match on 10 May in Multan against Quetta Gladiators.
