Multan Sultans Acquire International Star Mohammad Wasim Jr in Major Trade

The Multan Sultans are incredibly excited to announce the acquisition of dynamic Pakistan international all-rounder Mohammad Wasim Jr in a major trade with Islamabad United ahead of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.

In exchange for bringing the explosive pace-bowling all-rounder to South Punjab, the Sultans have traded Nisar Ahmad and Salman Mirza to Islamabad United.

Wasim Jr brings a wealth of international and franchise experience to the Sultans’ squad. Known for his sheer pace, devastating yorkers, and powerful lower-order hitting, his arrival adds immense firepower and vital balance to the team’s roster. His world-class fielding and three-dimensional skill set make him one of the most exciting additions to the squad this season.

In their own words

Mohammad Wasim Jr, All-Rounder, Multan Sultans

“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Multan Sultans. I am so happy to be a part of this team and I’m really looking forward to sharing a dressing room with some of the biggest names in the game. I can’t wait to get started and give my all for the fans.”

Gohar Shah, CEO, Multan Sultans

“Mohammad Wasim Jr is the absolute epitome of our ‘total cricket’ philosophy. He is the kind of dynamic, match-winning player who is going to take this franchise to the next level. When you have a guy who can bowl 90 mph, consistently save 10 to 15 runs in the field with his sheer athleticism, and then come in and clear the ropes with the bat-that is an invaluable asset. We are incredibly excited to welcome him to Multan.”
